The seed shells of rice — parboiled so nothing germinates, organic certified, heavy-metal tested. Made mostly of silica, so they behave more like glass/rock than organic matter. Used as a secondary aeration amendment that also supplies silica, which the plant needs for good yield and trichome production. Rice hulls eventually break down (pumice does not).
