Aeration (in potting soil) 🌱 Soil & Medium

The non-compostable, structural portion of a potting soil mix — the material that creates air pockets and prevents compaction. In BAS's recipe, aeration is a blend of pumice (permanent) and rice hulls (breaks down over time).

Target roughly 30% of the mix by volume.
